This therapy is particularly effective in the treatment of open wounds, burns or hardly curable diseases.

Northway doctors work with the Celution 800 System, developed by the U.S.-based company Cytori. This is a CE-marked, a unique medical technology that enables real-time, point-of-care collection of the patient’s tissues and preparation of a mixture of his stem and regenerative cells for use in plastic or reconstructive surgery. The Celution® 800/CRS device automates and standardizes the extraction, washing, and concentration of a patient’s own stem and regenerative cells, which can then be redelivered to the same individual within a single surgical procedure. This is the first device of its kind in the Baltic States that will enable Northway Medical and Surgical Centre to offer its patients the most advanced services in regenerative medicine.
The Celution 800 System is used to extract adult’s adipose-derived stem and regenerative cells, prepare a concentration of a patient’s own ADRCs and redeliver to the same patient within a single surgical procedure. Application of the regenerative cells can be very broad. Clinical trials prove that the stem and regenerative cell therapy can be particularly helpful to patients who experienced ineffective treatment methods of conventional medicine. This therapy is particularly effective in the treatment of open wounds, burns or hardly curable diseases. During clinical trials, after administering the mixture, researchers reported the improvement of the blood circulation around the wounded area, strengthening of body’s disease resistance, and stimulation of healing. Patients who had suffered from open wounds were very happy to see complete healing within months after the therapy.
After applying the said concentrate of the stem and regenerative cells in the treatment of systemic sclerosis, patients reported improvement in skin elasticity and ease in moving and bending their fingers.
Celution 800 technology can also be used for the treatment of scars in women who have undergone radiation therapy after surgical removal of a tumour. They are distinct from other types of scars because of the number of nerve endings they contain, making the scars very painful. Women who experienced this treatment method reported a reduction of pain and softening of skin around the scars.
Another research aiming to uncover how this therapy can help men with erectile dysfunctions was also initiated. Despite the need to have more studies, this therapy has brought very promising results so far.
