Neonatology is a subspecialty of pediatrics that consists of the medical care of newborn infants (up to 1 year old). Although a pediatrician can solve most health problems of newborns, neonatologists have the special training required to evaluate and treat newborns’ medical problems.
Our centre neonatologists carry out the necessary examination, provide advice and develop a treatment plan for our tiniest patients.
During the consultation, an experienced neonatologist evaluates the newborn’s physiological adaptive capabilities, provides the parents with recommendations on care and nutrition and answers any concerns they may have. The neonatologist monitors the newborn’s development, performs vaccinations and prescribes blood, urine and any other necessary tests.
