Cruciate ligament reconstruction is one of the most complicated surgeries performed at Northway Medical Centre. In the case of the anterior cruciate ligament tear, the so called instability of the knee is identified, which troubles the person, prevents from going in for sports, and engaging in activities.
The recovery time after a successful cruciate ligament reconstruction is quite long, i.e. the patient starts walking in several months, while active motions and going in for sports are allowed only in 6 months. It is best to take the surgery in 6-8 weeks after damaging the cruciate ligament (if this problem has been timely identified).
