Biography

Education
  • 1983 – Graduated from Kaunas Institute of Medicine
  • 1996 – Defended doctoral thesis “Family Infertility in Lithuania”
  • 2018 – Became a professor
  • 2018 – Obtained a diploma from the European Society for Sexual Medicine, qualifying as a sexual medicine practitioner

  • Has academic experience as a professor in endocrinology
  • Has leadership experience in rare endocrine disorders and endocrinology research
  • Senior staff scientist in endocrinology
  • Doctoral advisor for 6 doctoral students; 4 have defended their theses and 2 are continuing doctoral studies
  • Has conducted internationally recognised research on the male reproductive system in Lithuania
  • Participated in joint projects on the reproductive health of young men from Northern and Baltic countries and in programmes to standardise clinical research and semen analysis in andrology
